Lisbon ranked in the ICCA Top 10 15 July 2010 |

In 2009, Lisbon moved up two places in the ranking of the most popular cities for international congresses, and now stands 8th in the list, with 98 congresses, according to the statistics compiled by ICCA (International Congress & Convention Association).
Lisbon’s main challengers in the area of congress tourism, such as Madrid, London, Brussels and Rome, were all left out of the ICCA table for 2009. Business Tourism is therefore extremely important for the city, being classified as Lisbon’s second most valuable tourist product, immediately after "city-breaks".
