UK TV darling and singer Cheryl Cole is to perform in Portugal on May 30th performing with the Black Eyed Peas at the Jamor Nation Stadium, Lisbon, in the BES Festival Selecção.

Cheryl is believed be guest-starring in the Black Eyed Peas European tour while at the same time presenting her first solo album, ‘3 words’, produced in collaboration with Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am.

She collaborated previously with the music mogul on the chart-topping single ‘Heartbreaker’, and since expressed her wish to work with him again.

‘3 words’, which features the single ‘Fight for this Love’, was released last year and topped the UK charts, having sold more than 600,000 copies.

Black Eyed Peas meanwhile are set to provide a soundtrack for Portugal’s participation in the World Cup 2010 in South Africa later this year after reports stated national trainer Carlos Queiroz had chosen their top-selling hit ‘I Gotta Feeling’ as Portugal’s ‘anthem’.

BES Festival Selecção is sponsored by BES bank and is being held just days before the national football team heads off to South Africa, as an official send off.

Also participating in the festival will be Buraka Som Sistema, Nu-Soul Family, TT and Funkyou2.
