VISIT LAGOS AND THE CAPE SAINT VINCENT
On this half-day tour, we will visit Lagos, and you will be able to discover this city open to the Atlantic Ocean, which played a very important role during the Portuguese discoveries of the 15th/16th centuries. There are a lot of things to do in Lagos, such as visiting the first slave market in Europe, the Statue of Henry – the Navigator, and the Golden church of Saint Anthony – a masterpiece of Baroque style.
Next, the tour will continue to CAPE SAINT VINCENT, the south-westernmost point in Europe, with its powerful lighthouse. This place was known in the past as “the end of the world”. On the return, a short visit to the 15th-century fortress of Sagres, called by the Romans the “Sacrum Promontorium”.
